Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is one of the world’s foremost institutions dedicated to giant panda conservation and research — has recently completed a major expansion of its campus within a national preservation park on the outskirts of Chengdu. Designed by Ping Jiang of EID Architecture, the project introduces a new group of four panda pavilions that has now opened to the public. The pavilions are designed to support the observation and study of panda behaviour and daily activity while also serving educational and recreational functions for visitors.
